Bulletin

There are three active regions, all with the simple configuration of the photospheric magnetic field, presently observed on the visible side of the solar disc. Solar activity is low with five low B-class and no C-class flares reported during last 24 hours. We do not expect change in the solar activity, and although C-class flares are possible, they are not very probable. No Earth directed CMEs have been observed and the solar protons remained at background level in the past 24 hours.

The solar wind speed is slowly decreasing and it presently amounts 600 km/s. The interplanetary magnetic field magnitude is about 5nT. Due to the influence of the fast solar wind, several intervals of the active conditions were reported during last 24 hours (Dourbes reported K=4 and NOAA Kp=4). The geomagnetic conditions are presently unsettled to active and we expect them to stay so in the coming hours.

Today's estimated international sunspot number (ISN): 041, based on 20 stations.
