Because of the SWPC scaling factor, solar flares are reported as 42% smaller than for the science quality data. The scaling factor has been removed from our archived solar flare data to reflect the true physical units.

ACTIVITY INCREASED DURING 23/0300 - 0600Z WITH ACTIVE PERIODS AT SOME MID-LATITUDE STATIONS AND ACTIVE TO MAJOR STORM PERIODS AT HIGH LATITUDES. ANOTHER PERIOD OF INCREASED ACTIVITY OCCURRED DURING 23/1400 - 2000Z WITH ACTIVE PERIODS AT MIDDLE LATITUDES AND ACTIVE TO MINOR STORM PERIODS AT HIGH LATITUDES. OTHERWISE, FIELD ACTIVITY WAS AT QUIET TO UNSETTLED LEVELS.
