Geophysical report

Any mentioned solar flare in this report has a scaling factor applied by the Space Weather Prediction Center (SWPC). Because of the SWPC scaling factor, solar flares are reported as 42% smaller than for the science quality data. The scaling factor has been removed from our archived solar flare data to reflect the true physical units.

THE GT 10 MEV FLUX BEGAN THE PERIOD NEAR 10 PFU AND DECAYED TO LESS THAN 1 PFU TOWARD THE END OF THE PERIOD.
C. Geomagnetic Activity Summary
THE GEOMAGNETIC FIELD WAS AT MINOR TO SEVERE STORM LEVELS FROM 04/0000-1200Z. K-INDICES OF 8-9 WERE OBSERVED DURING THE 04/0300-0900Z PERIOD. QUIET TO UNSETTLED CONDITIONS WERE OBSERVED FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE DAY.
