Bulletin

During last 24 hours there was no report of the flaring activity (B-class flares or larger). Presently, there is only one active region observed on the visible side of the Sun. NOAA AR 2758 (not numbered by Catania) has beta configuration of its photospheric magnetic field and it could be the source of B-class and/or isolated C-class flares in the coming hours. During last 24 hours there were no Earth-directed CMEs and the solar protons remained at the background level.

Earth is presently within the solar wind with the speed of about 340 km/s and the interplanetary magnetic field magnitude is 3 nT. Small, negative polarity coronal hole crossed central meridian yesterday evening. The associated fast solar wind might arrive to the Earth in the evening of March 12 or morning of March 13. The geomagnetic conditions are presently quiet to unsettled and we expect them to stay so in the coming hours.

Today's estimated international sunspot number (ISN): 013, based on 24 stations.
