Bulletin

Solar activity was at very low levels. The Sun was spotless. No earth-directed coronal mass ejections (CMEs) have been observed in available coronagraphic imagery. The greater than 10 MeV proton flux was at nominal values. Some small and patchy equatorial coronal holes (CHs) are present on the solar disk.

Solar activity is expected to remain at very low levels.

Solar wind conditions were at background levels. Solar wind speed started the period around 390 km/s, reaching a peak near 420 km/s around 21UT, and ending the period with values around 350 km/s (ACE). Bz varied between -3 and +2 nT. The interplanetary magnetic field (phi angle) was directed towards the Sun (negative sector). Geomagnetic conditions were at quiet levels.

Geomagnetic activity is expected to remain mostly at quiet levels. Isolated unsettled intervals are possible if the earth environment should encounter enhanced wind streams from currently present small and patchy coronal holes.

Today's estimated international sunspot number (ISN): 000, based on 14 stations.
