Bulletin

The solar activity has been quiet over the past 24 hours. The visible solar disc is spotless and the X-ray flux is below B-level. The solar activity is expected to remain at low levels over the next 24 hours.

No earth-directed coronal mass ejections (CMEs) have been observed in the available coronagraphic imagery. The greater than 10 MeV proton flux was at nominal values.

The solar wind parameters were at nominal levels: the wind speed range was 307-360 km/s, the total interplanetary magnetic fields were below 5.5 nT, and the southward magnetic component fluctuated between -4.5 nT and 2.5 nT. The solar wind conditions are expected to remain at background levels for the next 24-hour period. The high-speed streams from the equatorial coronal hole (negative polarity) that reached the meridian on February 13 may slightly enhance the solar wind parameters in about 2 days.

The geomagnetic conditions were quiet and are expected to remain so.

Today's estimated international sunspot number (ISN): 000, based on 18 stations.
