Bulletin

Solar activity was low. NOAA AR 2699 produced many B-class flares and one C1.0 flare that peaked at 18:58 UT yesterday. Now NOAA 2699 has beta magnetic field configuration and is expected to produce more B-class flares and, with some chance, C-class flares. Proton flux levels are at background values and are expected to remain so. No Earth-directed CMEs were observed. Solar wind parameters were still under the influence of a low latitude extension of the northern polar coronal hole. Solar wind speed was between 400-460 km/s with interplanetary magnetic field magnitude ranged from 2 to 6 nT. Geomagnetic conditions have been mostly quiet reaching unsettled levels (K = 3) overnight, as measured locally at Dourbes. Geomagnetic conditions are expected to remain quiet today. Isolated episodes of unsettled levels are possible from tomorrow due to the better connection to a low latitude extension of the northern polar coronal hole.

Today's estimated international sunspot number (ISN): 022, based on 19 stations.
