Bulletin

No C-class flares in past 24 h. No active regions visible, the Sun remains spotless. The X-ray flux is expected to remain below C level.

No Earth directed Coronal Mass Ejections (CMEs) have been detected. Solar protons have remained at background levels over the past 24 h.

Geomagnetic conditions ranged from quiet to unsettled locally at Dourbes (k = 1 - 3) and reached active conditions at planetary levels (Kp = 1 - 4). Solar wind speed increased up to 450 km/s with interplanetary magnetic fields reaching 15 nT, as a consequence of the high speed stream that passed south of the Earth. The active (unsettled locally) period occurred between midnight and 03:00 UT, after several hours of negative Bz. Currently solar wind speed is around 400 km/s with interplanetary magnetic fields of 6 nT. Mostly unsettled conditions expected for the next 48 h, with possible active periods.

Today's estimated international sunspot number (ISN): 000, based on 11 stations.
