Geophysical report
Any mentioned solar flare in this report has a scaling factor applied by the Space Weather Prediction Center (SWPC). Because of the SWPC scaling factor, solar flares are reported as 42% smaller than for the science quality data. The scaling factor has been removed from our archived solar flare data to reflect the true physical units.

geosynchronous orbit began at 23/1545Z, reached a maximum of 12 pfu
at 23/2145Z, and was in progress at the close of the period.

F. Comments
The source for the greater than 10 Mev proton event was old Region 1520 (S16, L = 086), which was about four days beyond the west limb.
