Solar activity report
Any mentioned solar flare in this report has a scaling factor applied by the Space Weather Prediction Center (SWPC). Because of the SWPC scaling factor, solar flares are reported as 42% smaller than for the science quality data. The scaling factor has been removed from our archived solar flare data to reflect the true physical units.

SDF Number 312 Issued at 2200Z on 08 Nov 2010IA. Analysis of Solar Active Regions and Activity from 07-2100Z to 08-2100Z Solar activity was at very low levels. Region 1121
(S19E20) produced two B1 flares during the period. Region 1121
decreased in areal coverage and was classified as an Ero spot group
with 12 spots and a beta-gamma magnetic configuration. Region 1122
(N13W31) showed an increase in areal coverage and was classified as
a Dro-beta spot group.

Solar activity is expected to be very
low to low, with a chance for an M-class flare from Region 1121.

The geomagnetic field was at quiet levels, with an isolated active
period at high latitudes.

expected to be at predominantly quiet levels for the next three days
