Geophysical report

Any mentioned solar flare in this report has a scaling factor applied by the Space Weather Prediction Center (SWPC). Because of the SWPC scaling factor, solar flares are reported as 42% smaller than for the science quality data. The scaling factor has been removed from our archived solar flare data to reflect the true physical units.

D. Stratwarm
STRATWARM ALERT EXISTS STRATWARM TUESDAY IN THE MIDDLE AND UPPER STRATOSPHERE A STRONG TEMPERATURE INCREASING DURING ONE WEEK IS OBSERVED OVER SIBERIA/ NORTH EASTERN ASIA AND A REVERSED TEMPERATURE GRADIENT BETWEEN 60N AND THE NORTH POLE IS EXPECTED WITHIN THE NEXT 5 DAYS. STRATOSPHERIC WARMING IN THE UPPER STRATOSPHERE IN PROGRESS.
