Geophysical report

Any mentioned solar flare in this report has a scaling factor applied by the Space Weather Prediction Center (SWPC). Because of the SWPC scaling factor, solar flares are reported as 42% smaller than for the science quality data. The scaling factor has been removed from our archived solar flare data to reflect the true physical units.

THE GEOMAGNETIC FIELD WAS QUIET TO UNSETTLED. SOME HIGH LATITUDE SITES EXPERIENCED ACTIVE CONDITIONS BETWEEN 01/0600-0900Z.

STRATWARM ALERT/THURSDAY/STRATWARM EXISTS. THE WARMING OVER ALASKA,CANADA AND THE ADJACENT ARCTIC WEAKENING,BUT TEMPERATURE GRADIENT REVERSED BETWEEN 60N AND THE POLE FROM 50HPA UPWARDS INTO THE UPPER STRATOSPHERE. THE WARMING OVER THE EASTERN MEDITERRANEAN AREA EXTENDING TO SOUTH SIBERIA/MONGOLIA,STRENGTHENING,TODAY.
