Geophysical report

Any mentioned solar flare in this report has a scaling factor applied by the Space Weather Prediction Center (SWPC). Because of the SWPC scaling factor, solar flares are reported as 42% smaller than for the science quality data. The scaling factor has been removed from our archived solar flare data to reflect the true physical units.

B. Proton Events
The greater than 10 MeV Proton began at 10/1645Z and crossed the 100 pfu threshold at 10/1705Z and crossed the 1000 pfu threshold at 10/1840Z. The greater than 100 MeV proton event above 1 pfu began at 10/1625Z.

The geomagnetic field was at quiet to active levels.
