Geophysical report

Any mentioned solar flare in this report has a scaling factor applied by the Space Weather Prediction Center (SWPC). Because of the SWPC scaling factor, solar flares are reported as 42% smaller than for the science quality data. The scaling factor has been removed from our archived solar flare data to reflect the true physical units.

B. Proton Events
The greater than 10 MeV proton event that began at 05/0030Z, reached a maximum of 844 pfu at 08/0035Z, crossed below the 100 pfu threshold at 08/0620Z. Protons are currently around the 10 pfu threshold.
C. Geomagnetic Activity Summary
The geomagnetic field was at active to severe storm levels due to CME effects.
