Geophysical report

Any mentioned solar flare in this report has a scaling factor applied by the Space Weather Prediction Center (SWPC). Because of the SWPC scaling factor, solar flares are reported as 42% smaller than for the science quality data. The scaling factor has been removed from our archived solar flare data to reflect the true physical units.

The greater than 10 MeV proton event that began at 22/2020 UTC reached a maximum of 16 pfu at 23/1320 UTC, then ended at 23/2030 UTC.
C. Geomagnetic Activity Summary
Activity increased to unsettled to active levels following a sudden impulse at 23/1137 UTC (16 nT, as measured by the Boulder USGS magnetometer).
