Geophysical report

Any mentioned solar flare in this report has a scaling factor applied by the Space Weather Prediction Center (SWPC). Because of the SWPC scaling factor, solar flares are reported as 42% smaller than for the science quality data. The scaling factor has been removed from our archived solar flare data to reflect the true physical units.

B. Proton Events
THE GREATER THAN 10 AND 100 MEV EVENTS REMAIN IN PROGRESS. THE GREATER THAN 10 MEV EVENT THAT BEGAN AT 20/1400Z APPEARS TO HAVE PEAKED WITH A MAXIMUM VALUE OF 1700 PFU AT 21/1205, AND IS CURRENTLY IN A SLOW DECLINE AT APPROXIMATELY 530 PFU. THE GREATER THAN 100 MEV EVENT PEAKED WITH A MAXIMUM VALUE OF 7.4 PFU AT 21/1255Z, AND IS CURRENTLY DECLINING BACK NEAR EVENT THRESHOLD.
