Guest BZ
Hi. I would like to communicate with someone who has used the Porters Disk in observations. I also want to know about bipolar sunspots that is the types and their parts. Thank you.
Vancanneyt Sander
Can we ask what a 'Porters Disk' is? It doesn't sound familiar to me. Most regions are bipolar, only single spot regions are unipolar because of it's singular polarity. With the SDO magnetogram you can see what parts of a region have a positive polarity and which have a negative polarity and thus know if a region is unipolar or not and if the region is magnetically complex. Marcel de Bont
I also have no idea what a Porters Disk is. Regarding your other question, did you try our help section? Does this help you? http://www.spaceweatherlive.com/en/help/the-classification-of-sunspots-after-malde
Kaimbridge
I guess it is a way to find heliographic positions. ~Kaimbridge~

Now we just need to find someone who used such a device :D
