I'm Vancanneyt Sander and founder of the SpaceWeatherLive website. It all started in the summer of 2005 on the Dutch website i created in 2004 (Spacepage) on which i published some Space Weather data in a column. But i got more and more interested in this particular part of Astronomy that i looked for more information on how to track solar storms and to know when the conditions where good to view aurora on my Middle Latitude Location. In 2005 we launched the Dutch aurora website Poollicht.be and it got multilingual in 2008 and lead to the release of SpaceWeatherLive domain. In more then 9 years of following the Solar Activity and grabbing all possible chances to view the aurora from Belgium, i now know exactly what to look for and share this with all the visitors around the globe.
So, this was a very tiny bit about myself and the Space Weather website. Please feel free to contact us if you have questions.
Please consider a donation to our project, we would be very great full to keep this website online and that we can provide you at all time the best Space Weather resources on the internet.
