Referring to following statement, I would like to know on why Geomagnetic storms are more common in spring and fall than in summer and winter.

Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks in advance for any suggestions

During spring and fall, the Northern and Southern hemispheres usually receive the same amount of sunlight.
Geomagnetic storms, which are disturbances in Earth's magnetic field, are more common in spring and fall than in summer and winter.
